For the 2012 Competition - The categories have undergone revision from past years combining some that could overlap and removing some unnecessary ones. Please review them before submitting your nominations. We've also lifted the limit for fictions written in the past year. So, you're welcome to submit nominations from any year. Do note, we no longer have any visual (drawings) categories. After all, we are a fan fiction based competition.

Most Distinctive Don - Working on his own, with a group, Slash, Het, T-cest, one-shot, multi-chapter, whatever. The best scene you've read for the canon Brainiac. However, this does not exclude stories that also feature other canon / AU / OC characters.

Most Literal Leo - Working on his own, with a group, Slash, Het, T-cest, one-shot, multi-chapter, whatever. The best scene you've read for canon 'Fearless'. However, this does not exclude stories that also feature other canon / AU / OC characters.

Most Mesmeric Mike - Working on his own, with a group, Slash, Het, T-cest, one-shot, multi-chapter, whatever. The best scene you've read for the canon Jokester. However, this does not exclude stories that also feature other canon / AU / OC characters.

Most Riveting Raph - Working on his own, with a group, Slash, Het, T-cest, one-shot, multi-chapter, whatever. The best scene you've read for the canon Hot-head. However, this does not exclude stories that also feature other canon / AU / OC characters.

Most Spot-On Supporting Character - Working on their own, with a group, Slash, Het, T-cest, one-shot, multi-chapter, whatever. The best scene you've read for a CANON supporting character. A 'canon supporting character' is any official character (good, bad or ugly!) other than the TMNT. OC's and AU's are not canon supporting characters. However, this does not exclude stories that also includes other canon (including the TMNT) / AU / OC characters.

Most Outstanding Original Character - Working on their own, with a group, Slash, Het, T-cest, one-shot, multi-chapter, whatever. The best scene you've read for an Original Character (OC). An OC is any character (good, bad or ugly!) that is NOT based upon a Canon Character in any way. OC's are purely the creation of the Author/Artist. AU's and Canon Supporting Characters are not OC's. However, this does not exclude stories that also includes Canon and AU characters.

Best Turtlecest - The story featuring the best innuendo / sex-scene occurring between two or more of the TMNT in a pairing.

Best Slash - The story featuring the best innuendo / sex-scene involving two or more participants of the same physical gender, excluding Turtlecest. (m/m; f/f)

Best Hetero - The story featuring the best innuendo / sex-scene involving two or more participants of differing physical gender. (m/f)

Best Twist - At any point in the story; a surprise ending or an unexpected occurrence.

Most Thought-Provoking - Hmmmm... gotta think about that one! Some of the most thought-provoking stories are not written with the intent of being Erotica. That does not make such stories any less eligible for this Competition.

Most Humorous - "It has been wisely said that we cannot really love anybody at whom we never laugh." (c/o Agnes Repplier)

Best Kink - Whips an' chains. Tails. Weird places to screw. If it's not straight up sex, but something a little wilder, it belongs here.

Best Multi-Chapter Story and/or Alternate Universe Story - Any story that contains more than one chapter in its own right. AND/OR Any story set in an Alternate Universe. An Alternate Universe is created by the Author and is based upon the Canon characters/scenarios, but is altered in such a way it differs markedly from the Canon version. For example; Humanized versions of the TMNT, or Master Splinter never existed. Stories based upon Canon plotlines, but take the plot in a slightly different direction, are not considered AU stories.

Most Romantic - Awwwww.

Best Non-Consensual - ARRRGH! Any story that features or references an act of Aggressive Seduction; that is, Erotica in which the reluctant, tacit or implied consent of the 'victim' is given only. OR any story that features or references a True Non-Consensual act; that is, there is no consent given by the victim in any way. True Non-Consensual stories are often not written with the intent of being Erotica. That does not make such stories any less eligible for this Competition.
